Top 'o tha mornin' to ya

Well with St. Patty's day a couple of days away I just wanted to tell you all a little history about this lucky holiday ;), I found this interesting and remember being told about this holiday sometime in my childhood but like most things here lately I had forgotten.

So, the short of it is that St. Patrick was a christian that came back to Ireland - where he was from - to spread the gospel.  And he used the Shamrock  as a way to explain the trinity to the pagan followers in the country.  
St. Patrick's day was a day of remembrance to this man.  It was first celebrated in the U.S. in Boston by a bunch of Ireland's
Now, over the years it has become more of an Irish Holiday and more Irish tales, songs, and art have become part of the holiday (i.e. pot of gold, luck, leprechauns, etc.).  But how amazing is it that it actually is a great time maybe share the gospel with a shamrock, or explain God's covenant with a rainbow ;). Isn't it amazing how God works his Glory into all things, even something so small!
